Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:Three to five years’ recent (in the past 10 years) relevant clinical Orthopedic nursing experience, or recent (in the past 10 years) relevant clinical Geriatric nursing experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Past experience in quality improvement initiatives. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, including virtual team experience. Past experience in a clinical leadership role (i.e., charge nurse, clinician, etc.). Experience providing patient education. Strong patient assessment skills. Ability to perform direct patient assessments.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice will be considered. Experience in case management, including telephone assessment and advice are preferred. Experience with Connect Care/Epic. Experience in program development, research, and database management are preferred.
