Description:

Are you a motivated, inspired leader with a passion for Seniors Health? We are looking for a leader for our Area 4 seniors health team, covering various seniors' health portfolios (Continuing Care and Home Care) in the communities of Jasper, Hinton, Edson, Whitecourt & Mayerthorpe. As an experienced Seniors Health professional, you will provide leadership as the Area Manager for 4 communities in northwestern Alberta. Reporting to the Director of Seniors Health, you will help shape brighter futures for seniors by ensuring that our programs meet provincial standards. Your leadership will guide Care Managers, nurses, and allied health teams to deliver consistent, compassionate care across Continuing Care and Home Care services. All of our communities offer unique rural lifestyles with close access to all amenities. Whether you choose to live in Jasper, Hinton, Edson, Whitecourt or Mayerthorpe, you will find a welcoming community, variety of scenery and outdoor activities.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited health care program. Active or eligible for registration through applicable Alberta regulated health profession. A minimum of 5 years' experience in Seniors Health. Three to five years' experience in health care management, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development and progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment. Work location must be within Area 4 communities (Jasper, Hinton, Edson, Whitecourt or Mayerthorpe).


Additional Required Qualifications:

Progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment, including experience in a management role in health service operations. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others.


Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice will be considered. Combination of education and experience may be considered Knowledge of legislation and regulation related to healthcare. Knowledge of unionized work environments/union collective agreements. Knowledge of Protection for Persons in Care Act and Continuing Care Health Services Standards.
