Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an accredited post-graduate Anesthesia Assistant Program. Active registration with the applicable regulatory body. Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) membership with Certified Clinical Anesthesia Assistant (CCAA) designation.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with current licensure in Alberta. Must successfully complete the Anesthesia Assistant registry examination within six months of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Strong understanding of anesthesia machines, ventilators, and airway management techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience, ideally in critical care or anesthesia. Strong communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills. Able to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced OR. Maintains professionalism and integrity. Proactive, organized, and responsive to team and patient needs.
