Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning, the Senior Financial Analyst supports the development, coordination, and delivery of AHS’ annual budgeting and forecasting processes. The role provides accurate, timely, and strategic financial analysis that supports effective resource allocation decisions aligned with AHS goals and priorities. The Senior Financial Analyst supports the annual budget process, current-year and long-range forecasting, and the development of multi-year financial outlooks. The role validates and reconciles budget and forecast data, analyzes the financial impact of key planning decisions, maintains budgeting processes, and supports reporting requirements. The position applies broad financial expertise to ensure accurate, reliable information, while collaborating with operational leaders, Finance teams, HR, and external stakeholders to identify risks, opportunities, and support informed decision-making. This position is a key member of the Budgeting and Forecasting Team and contributes to the overall Financial Planning objectives by ensuring that budget and forecast related information is reliable, complete, and accurate.
Description:
This role supports the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting functions by delivering analysis, guidance, and coordination across key processes. In partnership with Human Resources and other stakeholders, the position ensures financial plans are aligned with collective bargaining agreements and compensation strategies. Key responsibilities include: Supporting government and regulatory reporting requirements. Contributing to budget scenario planning through detailed financial analysis and documentation of key planning assumptions. Providing guidance to stakeholders on budget inputs and ensure accuracy and reconciliation within the Hyperion budgeting system. Supporting the development and ongoing maintenance of forecasting processes. Developing standardized tools and templates to promote consistent financial forecasting and trend analysis.

A minimum of a post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 years in an accounting, financial planning, or financial advisory role. A strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve common goals.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with others. Demonstrated ability to work comfortably in an ambiguous environment, including having strong time management and organizational skills. Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pursing or completion of a Professional accounting or finance designation (i.e. CPA), or master's degree or equivalent. Experience working with Hyperion and Oracle or similar systems. Experience in an organization of similar size and complexity. Health Care experience considered an asset.
