Your Opportunity:
The SHC is an innovative concept that is more than a “hospital.” It is built in a campus environment and includes inpatient, outpatient, and wellness services, as well as prevention and public health education and learning opportunities for community members. This position provides administrative and clinical operations support to the Manager and Unit Manager with regard to the coordination of all staff related activities within the unit/service area(s). This position liaises with multiple business areas within the zone including Calgary Zone Staff Scheduling Services, Human Resources, Position Management, Business Advisory Services, Rotation Management and the HR Contact Centre. The Liaison is responsible for ensuring that the business of staffing and scheduling the unit/area operates effectively and efficiently which in turn supports the manager(s) in providing quality patient care. The Liaison also provides leadership and support for RN, LPNs, Unit Clerks, Booking Clerks, Service Workers, Therapy Aides, and Health Care Aides and participates in providing and/or organizing the administrative, business and operational orientation and ongoing training for those positions.

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:AHS Payroll including WFM and e-People, RMS, OR manager, Connect Care, iProcurement, and WBT-Manager. 2-3 years recent experience as an Administrative Support IV or greater, or unit clerk required. Payroll and scheduling experience are required. Experience working in a highly demanding and multi-tasking work environment required. Computer Skills are required. (Windows, e-mail and Microsoft Office including Excel). Fluency in English language is required. Excellent written/verbal communication, negotiating and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are required. Experience in using, interpreting and complying with union agreements is required. Must have demonstrated consistent attention to detail. Must demonstrate superior time-management and organizational skills. Must be flexible in order to accommodate competing and changing workload demands. Demonstrated initiative and creativity in previous roles is required.
