Administrative Support IV
Your Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity within Transplant Services at the University of Alberta Hospital. The successful incumbent is responsible for patient intake screening, scheduling appointments, tests, therapies and consultations. The Administrative Support IV works within Connect Care to maintain patient records and schedule appointments. The Provides support to the program by scanning, collecting, and maintaining historical data into Connect Care. The Administrative Support IV is responsible for answering the program telephone, redirecting patient calls as necessary, obtaining test results from various databases including Netcare and out of province databases, compiling routine and ad hoc statistics, and interacting appropriately with internal/external contacts. Ability to be flexible, prioritize different tasks and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Other responsibilities include successfully completing projects under tight timelines and with frequent interruptions.

Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:Medical terminology, and experience within medical/hospital setting is required. Strong proof reading and typing skills are required. Connect Care experience is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to work independently with minimal direction in a rapidly changing environment and be an effective team player is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Netcare and e-Clinician is preferred. Experience working in an ambulatory organ transplant program is preferred.
