Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Excellent customer service skills. Strong computer skills, including MS Word and Excel. Typing at least 50 wpm. Ability to work independently. Successful candidate needs to be calm, organized, flexible and able to multitask. Must be physically able to perform all assigned tasks. Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of clients. Superior telephone skills demonstrating conflict resolution proficiency and excellent customer service. Ability to adhere to policies and procedures and legislated requirements regarding patient confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

1 to 3 years' experience in Health Care preferred. Post secondary graduate of an approved Medical Office Assistant (MOA) course preferred. Unit Clerk certification is an asset.
