Your Opportunity:

This Administrative Support IV position provides support to a very busy and dynamic Diagnostic Imaging Department at Chinook Regional Hospital. The primary function of this position is to control and coordinate the flow of patients in Diagnostic Imaging. The position involves greeting, registering, and directing patients to the appropriate location within the department. You will also perform order entry of Diagnostic Imaging exams in Connect Care, answer and direct department phone calls, confirm appointments and handle release of information requests. Close collaboration with technical staff, physicians, and patients is crucial. Diagnostic Imaging at CRH is very much a team with this position being an integral part of that team.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of a post-secondary administrative course required. Hospital experience in a medical environment within the last 5 years is required. Excellent communication skills are required. The successful candidate must have exceptional interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to consistently display professionalism with patients, physicians, and staff. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of unit clerk schooling is preferred. Medical Terminology would be an asset. One-year previous Administrative Support IV or Unit Clerk experience within the last 3 years preferred. Experience in the Diagnostic Imaging department is an asset. Experience with Connect Care, PACS and Netcare preferred. Proficient time management and organizational skills are preferred.
