Additional Required Qualifications:Post-secondary education in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 3-5 years of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare, medical affairs, or regulated environment. Demonstrated ability to manage complex, rules-driven processes with multiple stakeholders and strict deadlines. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues, assess risk, and determine when escalation to management is required. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when reviewing licensure, insurance, and credentialing documentation. Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information appropriately. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear guidance to physicians and administrative partners. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and adapt to changing requirements. Expert level with Microsoft Office applications and shared network drives.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with physician privileging, credentialing, or medical staff administration. Familiarity with Alberta Health Services Medical Staff Rules, Medical Affairs processes, CPSA licensure, and CMPA coverage requirements. Experience working in a surgical department, academic medicine, or hospital-based environment. Experience interpreting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and applying them in practice.
