Administrative Support IV
Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Clinic Manager of the 3A Medicine clinic the incumbent is responsible for providing complex administrative support to the Medical Specialty Clinics including specialty The Northern Alberta program and. As front-line patient contact, the incumbent is required to provide a high standard of interpersonal communication and must have the ability to coordinate clinic resources to meet the needs of the patients, physicians and other multi-discipline providers. The incumbent shall demonstrate confidentiality, flexibility, initiative and ability to perform in a fast-paced high patient volume environment. Evidence of excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, required. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Responsible for clinic patient and information flow including: Referrals management, scheduling patient appointments and tests, managing multi-line telephone lines, front desk registration and other duties as requested by clinic manager.

Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:Unit Clerk Certificate required. Medical Terminology Certificate required. Minimum three years admin support IV in an outpatient clinic setting experience required. Highly proficient in the use of computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Netcare and Connect Care). Strong multi-tasking skills are essential for success in this position. Basic Cardiac Life Support-Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification required. Connect Care (roles Schegistrar and referral user), workflow, scheduling, work queue, recall and referral proficiency are required.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous Ambulatory Clinic experience is preferred.
