Administrative Support IV
Your Opportunity:
The Administrative Support IV position provides administrative assistance to the clinical and academic activities of physicians in the Department of Critical Care Medicine and the Cumming School of Medicine. The incumbent requires strong administrative support skills and must be familiar with the policies, business practices, corporate applications and support infrastructure of Alberta Health Services and University of Calgary. This position involves exceptional skills in organization, attention to detail, decision-making, and handling of confidential information. Responsibilities vary over a diverse range of portfolios and the incumbent must be able to work independently and multi-task with efficiency and competence. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic and bring solid communication and team collaboration skills. This position supports the Medical Director at FMC where duties include but are not limited to creation and maintenance of call schedule, updates ROCA, organize and take meeting minutes, and other related administrative duties as required. In addition, this position provides administrative support to the Research Site Chief and research members with setting up research accounts with the Research Trust Office at University of Calgary, peer review process for studies and grant applications and reports for Principal Investigators. Other duties include but are not limited to calendar management, set up meetings, take minutes, arrange travel plan, financial activities, and track and generate reports. General duties include phone call, scheduling events, filing, mail, maintaining office supplies and other critical duties as assigned.

Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:Grade 12 Diploma. University degree considered as a very strong asset. Must be fully proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PDF, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint). Excellent typing skills of 60-70 wpm. Knowledge on AHS & U of C system applications is an asset. Knowledge on scheduling, Qualtrics & Connect Care is an asset. 3 years or more progressively responsible experience in a health care setting, preferably a hospital or university setting. Prior experience supporting research and/or physicians is an asset.
