Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant/Unit Clerk course or equivalent work experience required. Knowledge of Medical Terminology required. One-two years in a medical clerical position required. Fluency in English language skills in reading, writing and oral communication required. Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize, problem solve and handle frequent interruptions required. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task, problem-solve and work independently completing all tasks assigned required. Ability to foster positive interpersonal communications and work effectively with members of the multi-disciplinary team required. Accurate data entry/keyboarding skills required. Extensive experience and competence with multiple computer systems required. Previous medical records management experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous Gastroenterology / Hepatology and Outpatient experience preferred. Experience with Netcare, Connect Care strongly preferred. Other software experiences an asset.
