Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant) or other related fields. Knowledge of medical terminology is required. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative role within a healthcare environment working with physicians. Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to those with previous experience working as a medical office assistant/secretary. Training and experience with Connect Care or other electronic medical records, NetCare, Dragon, eScription or other healthcare programs. Familiarity with FOIP and the Health Information Act.
