Additional Required Qualifications:Medical Office Assistant or Business Administration Certificate required Successful completion of a Medical Terminology course required A demonstrated understanding of the clerical/administrative support needs for urology and/or oncology patients is required Minimum of five years recent experience providing complex clinical and administrative support to a physician in a health care based environment Demonstrated superior working knowledge of electronic medical systems (EMRs) and NetCare is required, including surgical bookings, referral/waitlist management, scheduling, insurance claims and billing codes. Preference given to those with Connect Care, HealthQuest and/or eClinician experience. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required Self-direction, critical thinking, adaptability and flexibility are required while working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment. Required on occasion to transfer or transport patients and equipment, which may involve pushing or pulling. Walking, sitting, or standing for extended periods frequently required. Required to be able to lift equipment and/or deliveries for transport to the appropriate team members.
