Additional Required Qualifications:High School diploma plus post-secondary commercial secretarial or business administration training. Administrative office assistant equivalent (1 year equivalent). Knowledge of medical terminology. Working knowledge of Connect Care, ESP, and Timekeeping. Proficiency in typing and computer skills such as Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint) is required. Knowledge of office equipment required (Computer, Fax Machine, Photocopier). Proficiency in written and verbal English language. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pleasant manner. Demonstrated strong organizational skills, consistent attention to detail, flexibility, self-direction, and prioritization of work are all essential. Must be able to exercise judgement, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion particularly when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential issues. Must be a critical thinker, be self- directed, and highly motivated. Must possess sound decision-making skills and display the ability to make decisions appropriately and quickly in new situations. Ability to interact effectively and positively with a diverse group of people and work as a team member. Strong customer service skills. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision required. Ability to handle competing and changing priorities within tight timelines. Accuracy and attention to detail with data entry. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Understanding of Continuing Care-Home Care. Experience in a rural health care setting. Project management skills/education. WHMIS training/experience. e-Facilities experience.
