Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary training in Medical Office Assistant/Unit Clerk or undergraduate degree. No other educational requirements will be considered. At least 4 years of experience booking patients' appointments and processing referrals in a department of similar size and scope to the Department of Surgery. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and attention to detail. Connect Care training. Excellent attendance record. Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, solve problems, and handle frequent interruptions. Strong organizational skills. Proficiency in medical terminology and office procedures. Competency in using various office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, electronic health records). Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information. Openness to feedback and willingness to improve.
