Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent required. Post secondary diploma/certificate in medical terminology and medical office administration, with data entry required. Experience working within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary health care setting required. Good interpersonal skills and an engaging communication style with ability to promote services. Ability to work independently and with team members. Demonstrated ability to work with multiple professionals and resources, both internally and externally to the Region. Ability to problem solve, make sound judgments, and meet deadlines. Advanced computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word required. Must be able to set priorities and work with minimal or no supervision, self-motivated. -Demonstrated attention to detail, team work, and organizational skills essential. Experience as a Administrative Support IV or Clerk IV required. Must be able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs and work in awkward positions.
