Administrative Support III
Your Opportunity:
The Administrative Support III - Switchboard Operator/Visitor Information position performs a variety of complex clerical duties while providing switchboard and visitor information services for the hospital. Reporting to the Team Lead (RSPI) and Supervisor, RSPI Southwest Zone, this role is responsible for operating the hospital switchboard and providing reception services to patients, visitors, and vendors. Additional responsibilities include receipting cash transactions and disseminating patient information in accordance with the Health Information Act.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. Strong keyboarding skills and Medical Terminology proficiency are essential; testing will be administered for both. Must be available to work all shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Demonstrated attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision. Proven ability to maintain a professional demeanor, manage stressful situations with empathy, and remain calm, courteous, and tactful at all times. Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications:Previous hospital switchboard or call center experience is preferred. Experience with Connect Care is considered an asset.
