Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience working in a primary care clinic setting within the last 2 years. Recent relevant experience working in a rural facility or ambulatory care setting may be considered. Must have excellent computer skills and knowledge of programs (Connect Care, Microsoft Office, Netcare, Alberta Referral Directory (ARD). Demonstrated self-initiative, the ability to work as a member of a team, and to request and accept direction as required. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families and team members. Well-developed time management skills. Must be able to withstand standing and walking for long periods of time and able to physically assist/lift patients transferring to and from exam tables.
Preferred Qualifications:Unit Clerk/Medical Office Assistant (MOA) Certificate or equivalent education/experience (Medical terminology course) an asset. Experience with an EMR and patient registration software (Clinibase/Connect Care) within the last 2 years preferred.
