Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Medical Terminology Course required. It's Your Move and CPR certification required. Accurate and proficient keyboarding skills – must be able to type a minimum of 35 wpm. Absolute attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent knowledge of the English language both written and oral. Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional image, manage stressful situations with empathy and to remain calm, courteous, sensitive, and tactful. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Skilled at paying close attention to detail. Able to prioritize work and cope with frequent interruptions. Must be able to work all shifts based on operational needs. Minimum 2 years Diagnostic Imaging experience. Minimum 3 months recent experience in a hospital or medical environment, involved in booking, and reception. In accordance with Health Information Act (HIA), Freedom of Information and Privacy (FOIP) and other privacy legislation in effect the incumbent shall comply at all times with APL / AHS’s Information Privacy and Information Security policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recognized Business/Clerical course desired. DI Front Desk and Registration Basics Connect Care experience. Previous electronic Diagnostic Imaging Scheduling experience preferred.
