Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1-year experience providing administrative support in an outpatient/ambulatory setting within the last 5 years. Experience with booking and scheduling patient appointments, chart management including documenting orders, understanding of clinic workflow/processes, telephone etiquette and skills. 1 year of experience working within Connect Care scheduling appointments, working with pools, and work queues. Experience and proficiency using the following Microsoft programs: Word, Excel and Outlook. BLS certified (CPR). 1 year experience in an ophthalmology clinic in the last 3 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years of experience in an Ophthalmology Clinic in the last 5 years. Minimum 2 years experience providing administrative support in an outpatient/ambulatory setting within the last 5 years. Completion of Unit Clerk or Medical Office Assistant course. Completion of a Medical Terminology course. Health records management experience.
