Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Medical Office Assistant and Unit Clerk Diploma/ Education. Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel). At least one year’s working experience in the Medical Office Assistant Role and/or Unit Clerk Role in Connect Care/ EPIC: Minimum two years administrative experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting. Must have a consistent customer-centered approach to work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must demonstrate initiative, creativity, knowledge translation, and competence in time management. Able to independently recognize and manage confidential patient information and other hospital information. Able to work independently and prioritize competing demands. Able to work with multiple tasks in an environment with constant interruptions. Able to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of word processing and computer courses. Experience with using Zoom (booking, supporting others to access/ use Zoom). Experience ordering equipment and supplies using Oracle/ Procurement, Grand and Toy and other online ordering software. clerical and administrative support experience with an Allied Health department (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social work, psychology, and spiritual care).
