Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields. Diploma or certificate from a recognized office or secretarial administrative program, experience with medical terminology. Minimum 2 years' experience in a health care environment; preferably at an Admin II or III, level and in a continuing care setting. Experience with AHS technology and systems including e-people and iexpense. Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. The successful candidate will have effective time management and organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner and is goal oriented. You will be customer service focused, have well developed communication skills, and are confident with a positive attitude. You will also have clear enunciation over the telephone and will provide a respectful, caring, professional service. The candidate must possess excellent formatting, grammar, syntax, and proofreading skills. You will also have accurate data entry skills with a minimum of 55 WPM.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ability to work in a discreet and confidential manner, be adaptable to changing situations, and have a commitment to working in a Team setting will be assets. Long term care and dementia experience. Experience with connect care (EMR). Scheduling experience Payroll experience. Equivalent experience may be considered.
