Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of grade 12 diploma or recognized equivalent required. A post-secondary certificate in Medical Office Administration or equivalent required. Completion of Medical Terminology course is required and demonstrated through a written test. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required. Experience with eClinician/ConnectCare and NetCare is preferred. Previous ophthalmology experience in a tertiary care setting is preferred. Adaptable and team-oriented with a strong customer service focus. Ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment, including working under pressure, and responding to change. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Able to work all shifts as operationally required while proving reliability and dependability. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. A strong commitment to providing Patient and Family Centered Care is essential for this position. The incumbent requires a calm and patient demeaner. Must be physically able to carry out the duties of the position.
