Administrative Support II
Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager of the Northern Addictions Centre, the Administrative Support II position is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative functions, while interacting with a diverse population of colleagues and the public at the Northern Addictions Centre, which includes Residential Treatment, Residential Gambling Treatment, Detox, Opioid Dependency Program, Adult Mental Health and Adult Outpatients Addictions. The incumbent is responsible for providing information and resources to the public, clients, and employees of the Centre. The incumbent must be a responsible, self-motivated individual who is able to work both independently and as an integral member of a team and who is able to multi-task and work well under pressure. They must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong Microsoft Office computer skills, and must be competent in the delivery of high-quality customer/client service. Some duties include but are not limited to front reception coverage, calendar management, payroll timekeeping, file management, purchasing, and resource management. Must be capable of pushing and pulling wheeled carts up to and occasionally exceeding 25kgs. Must be able to lift/carry 10kgs. The incumbent will perform complex and diversified duties requiring independent judgment and confidentiality. Tasks must be completed with initiative, good organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. An enthusiastic and positive attitude is essential to success in this position. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
