Bachelor's degree in Addictions or a combination of a bachelor's degree in a related field with course work in addictions. A related degree combined with a diploma related to addictions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Individuals eligible for registration under the Health Professions Act (Alberta) must maintain active registration. Individuals may require authorization/permission under regulation to perform restricted psychosocial interventions and/or restricted activities.
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience with high-risk youth or those living with substance use concerns is required for this position. Two years’ experience working with vulnerable children and youth. Two years’ experience with addiction/mental health problem.
Preferred Qualifications:License under the Health Professions Act. Experience working with multi complex youth and families. Strong assessment and time management skills are an asset in this position. Experience in de-escalation and non-violent cris intervention is an asset.
