Your Opportunity:
As a Speech Language Pathologist II, you will provide clinical professional practice both independently and as a part of an interdisciplinary team. You will be responsible for providing clinical speech, language, and dysphagia services. You will be involved in assessment, diagnosis, goal setting, treatment, management, education, consultation, and the facilitation of referrals to appropriate community supports. In consultation with patients and families you will determine appropriate treatment and rehabilitation strategies directed towards improving patient function and supporting recovery. Working as a member of an interdisciplinary team you will promote quality care in alignment with professional practice standards and in accordance with Covenant Health's mission, vision, and values.

Description: The Speech Language Pathologist II provides identification, assessment, planning, coordination and delivery of care services to clients and families affected by communication and swallowing disorders. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology is required. Member in good standing of the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). Previous experience in Speech Language Pathology service delivery in acute care.
Preferred Qualifications:One-year previous work experience in Speech Language Pathology service delivery in acute care. Experience with relevant clinical applications such as Netcare and Connect Care.
