Enjoy comprehensive training across all hospital areas and a supportive team environment while experiencing the unique rewards of rural nursing. Nestled in rolling green hills along the North Saskatchewan River, Elk Point is a welcoming town that began as a fur trading post. The community sits on Treaty 6 territory and those lands of the Metis. The town is now a thriving community shaped by agriculture, oil, and its strong sense of history and culture. The town sits at the edge of Alberta’s Lake Country, along the scenic Iron Horse Trail, offering endless opportunities for outdoor exploration. Families enjoy K–12 schools, parks, sports fields, and a variety of community programs and local events. Elk Point is also a hub for history buffs, with nearby provincial historic sites such as Fort George–Buckingham House. Whether you love the outdoors, sports, history, or community life, Elk Point truly has something for everyone. There is the opportunity that you may be eligible for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness for nurses.
