Required Qualifications: Must be a member in good standing with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) or College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Candidates must have at least five years recent experience in an active OR setting and be familiar with the MDRD environment. Some experience mentoring and training departmental staff is preferred. Familiarity with educational platforms, e.g. CLiC, PowerPoint is also preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:Extensive knowledge of various surgical instruments and equipment. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing. Ability to organize work, set priorities, and delegate responsibilities to staff as appropriate. Physical dexterity, visual acuity, mechanical aptitude Ability to work in a computerized environment. Familiar with the Grey Nuns hospital. Certification in recognized MDR Technical Training Course an asset.
