Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Corporate Director, IT Services, the IT Lead will support day to day functions, issues management, and deliver on strategic goals and objectives for IT Services. A key aspect of this job and position is to ensure that organizational IT needs and opportunities are being met through our partnership with AHS as our Information Technology Service Provider, along with any other contributing stakeholders and solution providers. Please note: Travel is required, and may include the use of a personal vehicle. A standard driver’s abstract may also be required for use of corporate lease vehicles.
Description:
Reporting to the Corporate Director, IT Services, the IT Lead will support day to day functions, issues management, and deliver on strategic goals and objectives for IT Services. A key aspect of this job and position is to ensure that organizational IT needs and opportunities are being met through our partnership with AHS as our Information Technology Service Provider, along with any other contributing stakeholders and solution providers. Position relies heavily on relationship management with service providers. As this is a provincial role, there may be some travel within the province required. This position would be a hybrid worker and working from home or in office as required. This position is non-unionized.

Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field. Proven experience (over 5 years) in IT Service Management with a strong understanding of IT standards and best practices. Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and driving operational excellence. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven and customer focus decision-making. Demonstrated strong customer focused skills and experience.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Equivalencies in education may be considered. Certifications such as a Project Management Professional (PMP). Other systems or IT related certifications. Equivalencies in experience may be considered. Previous web development roles. Previous systems administration roles. Generally, experiences demonstrating strong business acumen and serving in some type of business or corporate services and support capacity, in a leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Admin. or related field. IT related experience within healthcare environment. Previous Business Analyst experiences. Managed and led IT projects through a full project lifecycle. Managed and led IT process improvements and change initiatives or projects. Microsoft certifications or proficiency with Microsoft tools and applications, other web apps. Managed or experience with IT shared services, helpdesk environments.
