This opportunity is for you! Covenant Health currently has multiple vacancies for Workforce Application Specialists. The position is accountable for the implementation of the new Workforce Management Scheduling System for Covenant Health. The Specialists analyze data and client inquiries to assist in the decision making for day-to-day support; design, develop and maintain system documentation, training materials and implementation of sub-projects; interpret client needs, assess requirements and identify solutions to non-standard issues and requests, provide advice and direction to clients. This position reports to the Manager, Workforce Application & System Solutions and will participate and lead activities for staff scheduling applications including Workforce Central, ESP, Employee Self-Service (ESS), Automated Shift Callout (ASC) application and Time and Labour (e-People) and associated applications’ business capabilities. The Specialist will participate and lead activities for the implementation of the new Workforce Management Scheduling System for Covenant Health and associated applications’ business capabilities; be accountable for the testing, configuration, data migration and validation of the new system; assist with the development of training materials, resources, online training modules and aide with facilitating training, assist our clients in the process and change management activities; interpret client needs, assess requirements and identify solutions to non-standard issues and requests, provide advice and direction to clients; Participate in Software upgrades, testing, and user acceptance; Make assessment of client goal to support changes; document, review and validate requirements; Develop and maintain project work plans, Identify and monitor project dependencies and activities; Develop strategies to communicate change and/or facilitate learning with new functionality /project requirements; Carry out other duties as assigned and within the scope of the position. The incumbent in this position understands the criticality of paying attention to detail while working under the pressure of very tight timelines, researching and investigating issues, and providing recommendations for resolution. This is a hybrid, non unionized position.

Diploma in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Proven experience (over 5 years) in staff scheduling or Human Resources with a strong understanding of Covenant Health standard scheduling practices and business processes. Demonstrated change management experience in driving operational excellence. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven and customer focus decision-making. Demonstrated strong customer focused skills and experience.
Additional Required Qualifications:Equivalencies in education may be considered. Certifications such as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Business Analysis. Other systems or IT related certifications. Experience with scheduling software (Kronos Workforce ESP preferred) and human resources information systems preferable PeopleSoft (e-People). Ability to facilitate education and training sessions. Experience in a unionized environment required; healthcare experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous Business Analyst experiences. Managed and led projects through a full project lifecycle. Managed and led business process improvements and change initiatives or projects. Previous experience with software or process implementations required and experience with testing software to support application upgrades. Microsoft certifications or proficiency with Microsoft tools and applications, other web apps.
