Your Opportunity:

Under the general supervision of the Ambulatory Services Program Manager and the direct supervision of the Orthopaedic Clinic Unit Manager, the Clerk IV provides clerical support to the Ambulatory Orthopaedic Patient. The clerk is an integral part of the Orthopaedic Clinic interdisciplinary team. Service includes direct patient interaction both in person and on the phone. The candidate must be familiar with the Electronic patient scheduling system (Connect Care in an Ambulatory setting) and uses it for monitoring and coordinating of complex clinic schedules to optimize resources, complete patient registration, preparing lab requisitions and arranging diagnostic tests for patients. The successful candidate performs these and other tasks in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures. Required Qualifications:

One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or recognized equivalent required. completion of a course in medical Terminology required. Completion of post-secondary Unit Clerk course required. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Proficiency with Netcare, and Connect Care templates, scheduling, referrals management, registration and electronic charting required. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills required. Please note: Classifications Under Review.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 to 3 years in an outpatient patient care setting desired. Ambulatory clinic experience preferred.
