Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Excellent assessment skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks. Proven critical thinking and decision-making skills. Strong computer knowledge/skills.
Preferred Qualifications:2 years of current nursing practice with one year in a community-based setting. Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in the community sector will be considered. Experience with cardiac, IV therapy and wound care. Recent experience in the care of long-term care clients is an asset.
