Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:3 to 5 years of Transfusion Medicine laboratory experience. Experience with coaching and mentoring. Experience with implementation and maintenance of lab projects that required strong organization and communication skills. Computer skills required for data assessment. Valid Driver’s License. Accepts the professional and ethical responsibility to protect privacy, use confidential information appropriately, and maintain the confidentiality and security of all information related to patients, staff, and the business of APL.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated experience and professional development of leadership skills. Knowledge and experience with current transfusion medicine standards, legislation and best practices. Knowledge and skills required to support accreditation, occurrence management, proficiency testing, quality metrics and competency. Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement methodologies. Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines; Project management and change management education or experience.
