Your Opportunity:
Cardston Health Care Center Laboratory is located in the town of Cardston Alberta which is approximately 230 kms south of Calgary, 80 kms southwest of Lethbridge and 25 kms north of the State of Montana. This busy rural location serves the town as well as the surrounding communities. Relocation assistance may be available with a Return of Service Agreement.
Description:
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) II, you will coordinate the day-to-day operations and the quality control function of the laboratory. You may have advanced technical knowledge or are the lead responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of Laboratory Information System (LIS) support, site education, quality assurance or laboratory research programs. Your responsibilities may include coordinating, prioritizing, monitoring and assigning work to MLT l's, providing technical advice, problem solving and trouble shooting on a variety of laboratory instruments. In addition, you will participate in the technical aspects of the laboratory, ensuring the performance of standard and specialized procedures.

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:The successful applicant must have a minimum 5 years' technical experience, a strong sense of teamwork and possess excellent communication skills. Strong technical skills and adaptability is imperative in this position.
Preferred Qualifications:Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Laboratory Information Services, recent phlebotomy and bench experience, leadership and other related training/courses are an asset.
