Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years within the last 7 years of experience in a Transfusion Medicine laboratory at the regional hospital level or higher. Proven reliability, strong initiative, effective time management, organizational abilities and sound judgment/decision making skills are required. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and within a team environment. Extensive working knowledge of LIS systems including Connect Care, WellSky and Ortho Connect.
Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in a supervisory or project role in Transfusion Medicine is an asset. Knowledge and skills required to support accreditation, occurrence management, proficiency testing and competency.
