Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Registration with the CMLTA is required with at least 5 years of recent full time laboratory experience and 2-3 years of Transfusion Medicine. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience. Excellent understanding of Transfusion Medicine operations from pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic processes. Excellent understanding of Transfusion Medicine programs and instrumentation. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to support and work within new or modified approaches, practices and processes in the organization. Intermediate level of computer literacy to include Microsoft Word, Access and Excel. Demonstrated project management, problem solving, decision-making and organizational/time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Connect Care/WellSky experience. Excellent interpersonal skills, effective time management and the ability to set priorities. Ability to listen, comprehend and respond to or relay information, directions or questions accurately and clearly. Training and/or demonstrated experience related to quality improvement, conflict resolution and customer service. Working knowledge of Accreditation Standards (CSTM, CPSA).
