Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent demonstrated skill in manual technique required. Attention to detail, proficiency, aptitude and precision in manual techniques is required. The ability to recognize testing/procedural anomalies and act appropriately to resolve these is required. Must have the ability to operate Windows based computer applications. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and within a team environment. Effective time management, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication/interpersonal skills are required. The successful candidate will represent Laboratory Medicine and Pathology in a respectful, professional and courteous manner.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of basic endocrinology an asset. Previous experience in manual chemistry methods is preferred.
