Your Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Laboratory Technologist - to join our High Prairie team. This role is initially offered at 0.7 FTE with the opportunity to pick up additional hours, up to full-time, based on operational needs and your availability. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Relocation assistance may be available, with a Return of service agreement.
Description:
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:As required.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy and electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures. Experience with laboratory instrumentation, including Vitros XT, Sysmex XN, Triage Meter, i-STAT, ACL Elite Pro, and Access 2 analyzers.
