Your Opportunity:
The Anatomic Pathology - Esoteric lab at FMC is looking for a qualified and experienced or knowledgeable AP Laboratory Technologist I (MLT) to join us on a temporary (up to one year) basis. The Esoteric department performs specialized testing in Renal, neuropathology and Electron Microscopy. We also perform Intra-operative frozen sectioning, prepare material for special stains or testing, and attend bedside renal collections!
Description:
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Previous experience in technical aspects of Anatomic Pathology is required for this position (preference give to individuals with 2+ years of experience). Previous and recent (current and up to within 1 year) experience in Anatomic Pathology in any role/capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience with or knowledge of Neuropathology, Renal or EM. Previous experience with renal collection is considered an asset. Previous experience in the technical aspects of Anatomic Pathology is required for this position (preference give to individuals with 2+ years of experience).
