Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years within the last 5 years Hematology MLT experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Operation, maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge of the Sysmex XN900, Caresphere middleware, Cellavision DI60, ACL TOPs and Connect Care LIS. Experience in a fast paced acute care setting demonstrating advanced knowledge of cell morphology/cell identification. Experience with bone marrow collections, differentials and special stains. Knowledge of Hemoglobinopathy testing.
