Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1-year experience within the last three years in toxicology, immunochemistry, pharmacokinetics or chemistry areas. Must have the ability to listen, comprehend and orally respond to or relay information, directions or questions in person, over the phone or in writing in an accurate and clear concise manner. The successful candidate must be well organized, flexible and able to prioritize and work under pressure plus multi-task. Must possess good technical problem-solving skills. Must possess the ability to promote positive working relationships. Demonstrates and promotes the APL values of Kindness, Inclusion, Innovation, Agility and Accuracy. Computer literacy and keyboarding skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) experience is highly preferred. Working knowledge of extractions such as solid phase, dilute and shoot techniques. Hands-on knowledge of tests such as Immunosuppressants, Renal Calculi, etc. Working knowledge of HPLC, Hamilton Nimbus workstation is value added. Knowledge of software such as Mass Hunter, Mass Lynx, Nimbus Method Editor, etc.
