Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Core lab experience (Hematology, Chemistry, Transfusion Medicine) within the last 3 years. Working within a team environment, good interpersonal skills, effective time management and the ability to set priorities are necessary. Excellent communication skills both written and oral are required. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable and flexible within an environment of change and interruptions. Must be able to represent Laboratory Medicine in a respectful, professional and courteous manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Dimension EXL (Seimens), Clinitek Novus, DXH 600 (Beckman Coulter), ACL Elite Pro, Ortho Vision (Transfusion Medicine), MTS Gel System TM and Epic Beaker LIS.
