Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a high school diploma. Manual dexterity for manipulation of specimens.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of WHMIS and SDS. Experience with Cerner Millennium Laboratory Information System. Previous Experience working in a clinical Microbiology laboratory. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Good organizational skills. Computer skills including Word and data bases. Flexibility with the ability to work within an environment of change. Ability to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve. Effective communication skills to contribute to a positive work environment.
