Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Previous technical experience with processing samples. Experience with lab information system. Excellent typing and database entry abilities (both speed and accuracy). Experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Superior organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize work and deliver accurate work under stressful conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with handling and packaging sample for external send-out. Post-secondary education in Genetics would be an asset. Experience in a Genetics lab would be an asset. Experience with Connect Care Beaker would be a bonus.
