Laboratory Assistants work a variety of shifts and rotate through key workstations, including data entry, specimen receiving, sorting, and delivery. As the hub laboratory for Alberta's North and Central Zones, PPA processes a high volume of specimens daily and plays a vital role in supporting patient care behind the scenes. This dynamic and supportive environment relies on effective communication, adaptability, and collaboration. Staff are responsible for ensuring specimens are accurately documented, handled, and routed in a timely manner, helping to maintain the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of laboratory services across the province.
