We have an exciting opportunity to add a Medical Laboratory Assistant I to our team in Red Deer to work in a fast-paced, public-facing Patient Service Centre, out of our Downtown and Bower locations. With this opportunity you will perform venipuncture and ECGs on registered outpatients and community patients as well as monitor wait times to ensure we are providing best service to our patients. In this public facing role, you will work independently, and with others, in a patient oriented, team-focused environment that strives to be a positive place for all that visit. Description:

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.
