We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Driver to support our laboratory operations. Every specimen you transport contributes to someone’s diagnosis and treatment. This is a physically demanding role where you will be required to lift up to 50lbs and transport important medical specimens and equipment to ensure public health and safety. Your contribution helps the lab staff provide early detection of diseases and the monitoring of health trends in the communities. You interact daily with laboratory staff, healthcare workers, and clients; these connections can lead to a strong sense of community and teamwork in this critical healthcare environment. You will be responsible for following established protocols to maintain the integrity of samples, properly documenting deliveries, and adhering to all regulatory requirements. Your commitment to timely execution and thorough communication with laboratory personnel will directly impact patient care and diagnostic accuracy. Description:
As a Driver I, you will be responsible for transporting a range of products including, but not limited to, mail, packages, medical supplies, equipment, food, and linen, in accordance with established standards, regulations and policies. You will work independently following scheduled routes as well as responding to ad hoc requests in a safe, timely, and courteous manner. You will also perform a series of routine duties such as logging mileage, cleaning vehicles, conducting pre-vehicle and post-vehicle inspections, and reporting any defects or malfunctions to management.

Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 1 year of experience as a commercial driver and/or previous courier role is an asset.
