Your Opportunity:

Administrative Support III-Dispatcher plays a vital and multi-skilled role in coordinating the daily operations of time-sensitive laboratory specimen transport services. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will use your previous dispatch skills, strong geographic knowledge, critical thinking, and the ability to use telematics systems to manage dynamic courier schedules. In this role, you will independently assess and assign pick-up requests based on real-time conditions, ensuring that all courier routes support patient care and meet laboratory testing timelines. This role requires you to use discretion and sound judgment to deviate from standard protocols when necessary, resolving issues such as staffing shortages, delayed routes, or missing containers. In this role, you serve as the primary point of contact for courier staff reporting unexpected absences, making real-time decisions to adjust coverage while escalating complex issues to leadership. You need to have an understanding of specimen integrity and testing requirements and the ability to make rapid decisions that directly impact patient testing and care. Using a high level of professionalism and customer service, you will regularly interact with internal stakeholders to prioritize competing requests. This role supports a broad range of responsibilities beyond routine coordination, including proactive problem-solving, route planning, and real-time troubleshooting in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position is an invaluable opportunity for individuals with a passion for logistics and patient care to have a direct impact on improving laboratory workflows and patient outcomes. The role embodies a commitment to excellence, collaboration, and compliance in the field of Aberta’s laboratory network.
