Required Qualifications:

Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Progressive senior leadership experience in a healthcare environment, with at least 10 years’ experience in a senior management role in clinical services or healthcare operations, in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Proven success as an adaptive strategic leader who is able to be both resolute and flexible and be able to react strategically to environmental shifts. A successful record of achievement as a leader, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making, and extensive experience in building leadership capacities, and improving and innovating service delivery in a diverse range of health functions. Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to navigate complex political situations. Experience leading major initiatives, managing change, and creating innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Effective interpersonal communicator including accomplished emotional intelligence, organizational skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing long term quality services. Demonstrated ability to lead, engage others, develop coalitions, achieve results and bring about transformational change at a systems level. Proven success in working collaboratively, inclusively and effectively by fostering solid relationships with individuals and teams, and with key external stakeholders including public agencies, foundations, all levels of government, boards, committees and other partners. Demonstrated basic financial acumen and the ability to assess and make decisions in a resource constrained system balancing all aspects of the quadruple aim.


Preferred Qualifications:

Canadian Certified Physician Executive credential is an asset.
